Formation of Riverbourne Road & Potters Way NW scheme |
||
|
From Ross Walker on behalf of Wiltshire Neighbourhood Watch Team. Follow up from Neighbourhood meeting on Monday 12th Jan.
What a great turnout on a rubbish night, thank you all for coming. Following on from the discussions I have created a Watch Scheme covering Riverbourne Road, Potters Way and the neighbouring roads. 22 Residents have signed up to community messaging, and 2 have already agreed to be deputy coordinators, we still need a couple of members to sign up as Coordinators for the scheme. Please email me your willingness to take on the role.
Please also encourage your other neighbours to sign up and join us.
Next steps are to get the coordinators and deputies together and familiarise them to the support material. The Our Watch Network site is very comprehensive in relation to crime prevention advice and support to members, including what is known as the Knowledge Hub, which as a Co-ordinator you can join. www.ourwatch.org.uk.
Our Local Association has a website www.wiltshirenhw.org and I would also point you to the Wiltshire Police site www.wiltshire.police.uk where you will find on the home page a link to ‘What’s happening in your area?’ This provides information regarding neighbourhood police team as well as recent crime statistics.
